Mount St. Helens

Harald Sund

Mount St. Helens was reduced to 8,364 feet by a catastrophic
explosion in May, 1980. From this aerial photo, taken from the north side,
one can see the massive crater left by the destructive forces of a volcano.
Mt. Hood is also visible in the horizon.
This print is part of the Great Peaks of the Pacific Northwest Series.
