The twin towers centered in the photograph are the World Trade Center
Buildings.
Further right is the Empire State Building.
To the right is the East River with the Brooklyn, Manhattan,
Williamsburg, and Queensboro Bridges visible.
At the left is the Statue of Liberty, with Ellis Island to its right.
The Hudson River is located just behind Manhattan.
In the distance beyond the Hudson River is the State of New Jersey.

The tallest buildings are the World Trade Center with Tower One on
the left and Tower Two on the right. The
Empire State Building is visible slightly left of Tower One.
This panorama was taken a few months prior to the tragic events of
September 11, 2001. A portion of the proceeds from this panorama is donated
to the American Red Cross.

This
panoramic photograph of Times Square was taken by James Blakeway.
It features the year 2000 New Years celebration.
Times
Square hosts the largest and best-known New Year’s Eve celebration in the
world, marked by the tradition of lowering a ball.
The Ball Lowering celebration was started in 1907 by the New York
Times and is seen across Times Square at the top of the tall narrow building,
known as One Times Square. The
New Year’s Eve Ball is made of aluminum and is six feet in diameter.
On New Year’s Eve, it descends on a 77-foot flagpole at 11:59 p.m.
and reaches its destination at exactly 12:00 midnight.

York, New York - Statue of Liberty
This
aerial panoramic photograph of the Statue of Liberty was taken from a
helicopter by James Blakeway. At 152 feet tall, the Statue of Liberty is
located on Liberty Island, in the Upper New York Bay. Designed by F. A.
Bartholdi, it was presented to the United States by the Franco-American
Union to commemorate the American Revolution. Dedicated in 1886, it became a
national monument in 1924. Slightly right and behind the Statue of Liberty
is Ellis Island.

York’s famous 102-story Empire State Building, once the worlds tallest
building at 1454 feet, was built in 1930 and 1931.
On the 86th floor, at 1,050
feet, is the observation
deck.
